Workspace

The workspace is where you actively use information instead of only saving it.

What happens there

Use the workspace when you already have a rough idea and want InfoDigest to help you turn it into a first draft.

The v1 flow is:

  1. Write a short initial idea.
  2. Let InfoDigest search your saved library for relevant references.
  3. Wait while it generates an article draft.
  4. Open the draft, review the references, and continue editing it yourself.

What you need before starting

The workspace works best when your library already has some related material.

If references are sparse, the draft can still be generated, but you should expect:

  • a lighter evidence base
  • more open questions left in the draft
  • a stronger need to keep collecting or verifying material

What you will see

Workspace list

The list shows every article you created, ordered by the most recently updated.

Each item shows:

  • generation status
  • a short preview
  • reference count
  • whether references are still sparse

Article detail

The article page shows:

  • your initial idea
  • the generated title and body
  • the references pulled from your saved library
  • autosave while you continue editing

Best practices

  • Start with a concrete question or claim, not just a broad topic.
  • Keep collecting in feeds first if you do not yet have enough context.
  • Treat the first draft as a thinking aid, not a final answer.
  • Use the reference list to reopen source material when a paragraph feels weak.
